Swavesey Village College has recorded another set of impressive GCSE results this year with 98 per cent of pupils passing with 5 or more A* - C grades, and 80 per cent achieving five good grades including English and maths.
The village college based on Gibraltar Lane, Swavesey, which is considered to be ‘outstanding in every respect’ by OFSTED, also saw a significant proportion of students receiving the top grades across a number of subjects.
Thirty-five per cent of all grades awarded at GCSE were A* or A grades, and 32 per cent of pupils achieved at least 5 A* or A grades. A number of GCSE subjects also saw at least 50 per cent of pupils scoring A* or A grades.
Andy Daly, Principal at Swavesey Village College, was delighted for those Year 11s collecting their results: “All of the pupils can be very proud of their significant achievements and we are sure that these results will be a springboard to future success.
“We are all incredibly grateful to the dedicated and committed staff who have worked tirelessly, with parents and the wider college community, to ensure each individual pupil has the best possible chance to achieve.
“This is an amazing set of results considering the challenges of the past year. Mr Bacon would be very proud of each individual student and their achievements”.
