EXCEL Awards- Sporting Colours
Swavesey Village College Sporting Colours - The EXCEL Award.
It is with great pleasure that we announce the introduction of the Swavesey Sporting Colours. Pupils can recieve colours in one of the following 4 categories:
Excellence - This is nominated by the team manager/ coach. This is for a pupil who plays at a very good level within matches. This can be recieved by pupils more than once and for different sports.
Contribution - This is nominated by the team manager/ coach. Pupils will gain this through putting the team first, training regularly and working hard within the team. This can be recieved more than once
External - This is for someone that plays their chosen sport at district/ county upwards.
Leadership - This is for a pupil who has demonstrated leadership within sport. This could be through assisting/ running a club, coaching outside of school, helping with festivals, helping develop links with their own club and the school.
If a student recieves all 4 of these colours they will recieve the overall EXCEL award.
The first set of sporting colours will be awarded during the summer term 2010, please be aware for external and leadership we can only award what we know about. Pupils are encouraged to speak to the PE department to make us aware of their successes outside of school.
