The December Newsletter - see below - contains a taste of the some of the many events, activities and achievements from the second half term of this academic year.

'Hats for Haiti' raised over £600 last week and this was followed up at the weekend with a very well supported charity concert at the College.

This week there are a number of residential trips going away for half term : to Spain, Washington and California.

On Saturday 13th February, five students will accompany Mr Fehr on a Japanese Immersion Course in Japan, sponsored by the British Council. Swavesey is one of two state school taking part in this project which involves a two week intensive language and cultural programme in Japan.

At the start of this year, the builders have started on site working on the new hall and reception area for the College. This is a £1.8 million project that will transform the College's appearance and performance and assembly space. It will form part of a wider refurbishment of the front of the site, with the current reception and hall being remodelled to accommodate more civilised dining and social arrangements for students.
