Year 8

yr8 1Year 8 students build upon the skills acquired in Year 7. Observational drawing is a running theme throughout the course and hones their drawing skills to a greater degree. Both 2D and 3D skills become more demanding in complexity as well as design ideas becoming more confident. Art History is a key to their design ideas at this stage and students are encouraged to study the work of artists and designers to inspire their own artwork. Projects vary in this year from the individual and personal to group efforts.
